Nik joined the firm in 2008 as an associate after serving as a Judicial Clerk for Multnomah County Presiding Judge Jean Maurer. He received his law degree from Willamette University College of Law in 2005 and earned a B.A. in Government and a minor in Psychology from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.

After college, Nik uncovered political corruption as an investigative reporter in Chicago. During law school, he served for two years as a court-certified trial clerk at the Oregon Department of Justice. He is a member of Oregon State Bar, Oregon Association of Defense Counsel and the Multnomah Bar Association. Nik’s interests include sustainable living, hikes with his dog, and growing edible landscaping.
