Introduction
Deanna Wray devotes her time and energy to making Bodyfelt Mount LLP a different kind of law firm. Our mission is to provide high quality legal services while emphasizing a healthy balance between work and life. Deanna continually strives to acquire and maintain a diverse workforce, and ensure that women and minorities have every opportunity to succeed, which culminated in the firm receiving the 2007 Oregon Women Lawyers' Workplace Leader Award.
Practice & Experience
- Deanna joined Bodyfelt Mount LLP as an associate in 2002 and became a partner in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Deanna was an associate with the trial lawyers at Gaylord, Eyerman & Bradley PC from 1998 to 2001. She also served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Janice R. Wilson, Circuit Court of the State of Oregon, from 1997 to 1998.
- Deanna’s engineering background was a natural segue to representing product manufacturers, and over the years she has defended a range of products including hand tools, printing presses, murphy beds, bicycles, forklifts, automatic doors and toilets. Following in Dick Bodyfelt’s footsteps, Deanna is local counsel to Chrysler on all automotive product defect claims in Oregon. Deanna has also defended general contractors and electricians on Employer Liability Act cases, including a two-week jury trial in Multnomah County, and has presented on the topic at the Oregon Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Conference. Deanna’s most notable successes and greatest satisfaction comes from crafting pre-trial resolutions for clients in catastrophic injury and child death actions.
The firm also has a long-standing history of serving as primary and local counsel to asbestos, and drug and medical device clients. In recent years, Deanna and Molly Mullen have been involved in mass tort litigation of latex gloves, vaccines, Fen-phen, pain pumps, Metoclopramide, as well as defending a variety of individual medical equipment cases.
